Congrats to Dr. Rackauckas – awarded 2020 ISoP Emerging Scientist!

Dr. Christopher Rackauckas, our Director of Scientific Research, was recently awarded for the 2020 ISoP Emerging Scientist Award. The International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP) Awards Ceremony was hosted by the Eleventh American Conference of Pharmacometrics (ACoP11) on Monday, November 9, 2020.

The Emerging Scientist Award, the highest early career award given by ISoP, was granted to Dr. Rackauckas received for his work on Pumas – the high performance nonlinear mixed effects simulation and estimation framework being adopted throughout the industry. A hearty congratulations from the entire team at Pumas-AI on his achievement!

Dr. Rackauckas also won the ACoP11 Quality Award for his work on accelerating Pfizer’s drug discovery pipeline with GPU-accelerated differential equation solvers. An Applied Mathematics Instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Senior Research Analyst at University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Pharmacy in the Center for Translational Medicine, Dr. Rackauckas is the lead developer for Pumas.
