ACoP 2026: From Models to Medicines, Faster

The theme of ACoP 2026, 'Models to medicines' captures one of the most important shifts in modern drug development: the move from building elegant mathematical models to actively using them to shape the medicines that reach patients. For decades, pharmacometrics has produced increasingly sophisticated models of drug behavior, disease progression, and patient response. The challenge and the opportunity has been translating those models into decisions: which dose, which trial design, which patient subgroup, which go/no-go call.

That translation is now accelerating. Regulators are leaning more heavily on model-based evidence. AI and scientific machine learning are reshaping how models are built and validated. Real-world data, biomarkers, and digital endpoints are giving modelers a richer signal than ever before. The result is a field where the bottleneck is no longer modeling itself, but how quickly and confidently models can be turned into action.

This is the work PumasAI is built to advance. By combining smart modeling, quantitative systems pharmacology, scientific machine learning, and AI in a single, interpretable platform, we help teams move from models to medicines faster without compromising the scientific rigor regulators and patients depend on.

Networking

Meet the team at Booth #5

Date: October 11 - 14, 2026

Drop by to talk with our experts, Dhanashri Gudi and Lindsey Florence, about how AI and quantitative pharmacology are reshaping MIDD. Whether you're scaling your modeling workflows, exploring scientific ML, or rethinking trial design, we'd love to swap ideas and explore how PumasAI can support your 'models to medicines' journey.

This in-person workshop will take attendees through the strategic and technical foundations of machine learning in pharmacometrics. The workshop is designed for pharmacometrics leaders, R&D decision makers, and quantitative scientists who are navigating how machine learning fits into their modeling strategy. The session will focus on how AI and machine learning can support pharmacometric thinking, decision making, and future modeling strategies. This is a conceptual and strategic workshop, not a coding session.
