AI in Drug Development: From Theory to Therapeutic Impact

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept in drug development. It’s a present-day catalyst transforming how we model disease, predict outcomes, and accelerate discovery. From covariate modeling to generative neural networks, AI is reshaping the pharmaceutical landscape with precision, speed, and scientific depth.

In collaboration with the Society of Pharmacometrics and Health Analytics (SOPHAS), we are thrilled to share the launch of the Certificate Course on AI in Drug Development.

This 8-month program (Oct 2025–May 2026) is designed for professionals with a background in statistics and a passion for innovation. Through a flipped classroom model, participants will explore:

• Machine learning for covariate modeling and prognostic factor identification
• Explainable AI techniques for regulatory-aligned decision-making
• Scientific machine learning (SCiML) for pharmacodynamic modeling
• DeepNLME models for longitudinal clinical trial data
• Hands-on training with Pumas and DeepPumas software
• A capstone project to apply AI in real-world drug development scenarios

This certificate course also includes a Certificate of Completion or Attendance based on performance.
